I have read more books on good health, nutrition, exercise and changing my physical life than I can count. I’ve gone from believing one to another to another. None have worked for me for any length of time and although the “science of nutrition” has been cited in some, I have always felt the books I’ve read have been based primarily on opinion and I’ve become more confused with every book I’ve read. Fat Funeral is a very different book. The author discusses basic concepts to which I found myself nodding or shaking my head but what makes Fat Funeral different is that this author bases every bit of information on scientific evidence. Typically, reading so much science based evidence would cause me to stop reading the book because I also have to enjoy a book along with learning from it. Fat Funeral is presented in the perfect way – not scientifically “over my head,” but with interesting facts and information compared to what I have known before. Great humor mixed in throughout the book added to my desire to keep reading and not put the book down. Learning about the Five Golden Weight Loss Habits, the Fat Four and numerous other easy to remember concepts presented weight loss and nutrition in a whole new way. I am excited to get started with a new eating-lifestyle, knowing I can still enjoy, within limits, foods that I crave and enjoy. I recommend Fat Funeral to anyone who wants a healthier lifestyle and therefore, a healthier life. I’ve been waiting for a book like this!
