I was absolutely mesmerized by this wonderful book. I love women in uniform stories and this is one of the best I've read. Britt lost an arm in the service of our country, Teddy was assigned to be her occupational therapist. This takes place at Britt's home which happens to be a farm that breeds race horses. The descriptions were so well written that I felt at home there myself. It was quite an education about race horses and very interesting. Both women had troubling pasts that haunted them. I was reminded once again of how difficult it can be for women in the service. My heart hurt for both of these women. The comfort came when they turned to each other for healing. Their romance reaffirms the belief that love can overcome all obstacles. There is some drama and some angst but very carefully described. A beautifully written book that I will enjoy re-reading. Many, many thanks to the author for sharing her words.
